Carbonactive Sentient Float Rods have soft tips that can be used with very light hook lengths, but they also have a massive amount of hidden strength (they can even lift a 1Kg weight). The tips blend into the continuous 'fish-playing' middle section perfectly, with the butt section having the hidden raw power

The Sentient 17' is a 'must have' rod for river anglers who want the ultimate in float control. The extra length makes accurate line control easy and the soft tip and through action middle section really come into their own when bonus fish are hooked on light lines. This rod inspires confidence and the playing action also makes it a good margin rod on commercial fisheries when very large carp are expected Light and responsive, with a traditional float fishing action plus stiffness and power in the butt and middle sections, the 17' is made with just 3 sections as opposed to the normal 4 - this delivers an action and feel that is more like a 14' or 15'.
