This makes it ideal for fishing standard feeders, PVA bags and method feeders. The Marksman Specimen Avon isn’t just a river rod though - it can be used for countless different uses on many stillwaters. Feeder fishing, legering and float fishing for specimen fish are all a great experience using this high-modulus, beautifully slim Avon. NOW AVAILABLE IN THE 11FT 6IN 4 PIECE SMUGGLER VERSION At £329 The *Hardy Anti-Lock action gives the angler tremendous confidence when playing fish close to the net, enabling big fish to be quickly controlled in tight situations. *Hardy Anti-lock is built in to all Marksman rods. Essentially, when the rod is under load, in a fish-playing situation, it continues to transfer the power, and lunges of the fish, into the rod curve rather than bottoming out too quickly. This greatly reduces the chances of hook pulls, and makes fish playing a truly rewarding experience. By using a special blend of carbons and optimum resin ratios, Hardy have fine tuned the Marksman range to offer ultra high performance rods that retain that all important fish-playing feel.
